Gather ’round, my foodie chums! Today, we’re nipping off to a little gem of a diner in the heart of the bonny Great Yarmouth industrial estate Harfrey’s, by the name of JOKERS Diner. What’s on the cards, you ask? A belt-busting brekkie they’ve aptly christened, The Fat Joker. So, grab a cuppa, and let’s tuck in!

Sausages:

Initiating our dawn-time escapade are the sausages, and blimey, they’re a triumph. These beauties are filled to the brim with free-range pork, every bite an explosion of succulence. The maestros at JOKERS showcase their culinary prowess, delivering a sausage that’s rich in its simplicity, no frills, no spice – just pure, delightful porky goodness. A tangible proof that sometimes, less indeed is more!

Bacon:

The bacon’s no slouch either. Locally sourced and fried up to a level of crispiness that would make even your Nan proud, it adds a good old smoky tang to the meal that’s hard to beat.

Eggs:

Now onto the eggs, where things took a bit of a turn. These chaps were fried up firm, even flipped over instead of the classic sunny side up we Brits know and love. The whites held their shape a bit too rigidly, and the yolks were not far off the hard-boiled variety. A bit of a disappointment in an otherwise splendid brekkie. Even in a full English, every component counts, and we wouldn’t mind seeing these eggs come out of their shells a bit more next time..

Tomatoes:

Our next player, the tinned tomato, may seem like an underdog, but don’t let that fool you. These little ruby gems, swimming in a tangy sweet juice, are a welcome counterpunch to the rich savoury parade that’s marching across your palate.

Mushrooms:

The mushrooms, those earthy little morsels, don’t disappoint either. Grilled to perfection, they add a wholesome bite to the breakfast bonanza.

Baked Beans:

Beans, beans, good for the heart, and these ones are particularly smashing. Bathed in a sauce that strikes the perfect tangy-sweet balance, they’ve got a texture that Goldilocks would certainly approve of.

Toast:

The toast might not have been carved by the hands of artisan bakers, but that doesn’t stop it from being a winner. A classic slice from your standard loaf, crisp and comforting, it reminds us why it’s such an old faithful on the breakfast platter.

Hash Browns:

We end our run with the hash browns, and what a glorious finale they are! Crunchy golden jackets encasing a fluffy heart of potato – you can’t ask for a more satisfying send-off.

Presentation:

As for the look of the thing, you can’t fault it. Every element of The Fat Joker is served up with an attention to detail that’s sure to tickle the fancy of even the most discerning Instagram foodie.

In conclusion, The Fat Joker is no mere Full English – it’s a veritable feast for the senses, and a must-try for any food aficionado in Great Yarmouth. JOKERS Diner doesn’t just serve breakfast, it serves up a jolly good time! So, put on your hat, grab your brolly, and off you go to try The Fat Joker. I guarantee, it’s worth the detour.
